As you might have guessed I am quite fond of an online learn to sing program called Singorama. However I have not done a proper Singorama review of what it is all about yet and why it can help you become a better singer.

Continuing the theme of catering to all levels of ability there are actually two types of e-books that come with Singorama: a beginners guide and an established singers guide. This seemed a little odd to me at first but I believe now that it is a good way of being able to help those that might just need a little help to push them to greater singing and to help the complete amateur take their first steps to stardom.

Audio Lessons

This is the bulk of the course. If you are a singer you are probably someone who likes to listen and learn so the audio format is well targeted. It also makes a lot of sense since there are huge amounts of examples in each lesson that you can listen to then practice yourself. Since you can pause, rewind, try again and so forth this means you can also learn at your own pace until you get it right. I believe this is very helpful especially for beginners who might need extra time on some sections without feeling like a fool at a proper live singing coaching lesson.

There are 28 lessons in total with a huge range of topics. Even such things as performance anxiety and handling auditions are covered in great detail by professional singers with years of experience. This is sometimes intimidating on its own in that there seems to be so much to cover! I do think that people who are just looking for a few quick tips will look at this an run away screaming and fair enough as this is not the product for them. This is a product designed for people who are serious about improving their voice … if you have that commitment however, this package has everything you need and is actually very easy to follow and do despite the large amount of content.

Mini Recording Studio

This is an excellent little addition to Singorama. In fact, I am quite surprised no other online singing programs include anything like this. This is a neat tool that allows you to record your voice and play it back so you can hear and critique your singing to improve it. Most computers have this capability of course but this is much more advanced with many features to help you learn to sing.

It also includes a mini on screen keyboard which one of my students said was very helpful as she likes to practice scales and sing along with them and did not have the money nor space for a piano or an electric keyboard. This was very convenient for her and for many others I would say.

Perfect Pitch Pro

This is another very cool little idea that makes this a more complete package than any other online singing coaching program. This singing software is used to help singers have perfect pitch as the name suggests. This is the ability to detect and sing any note without using an external reference like a keyboard playing a key. I must admit I need to go back and use this a little more myself.

What is also very cool is that this is not a dry and boring bit of text, nor is it an audio lesson. This is actually a pieces of software that helps you through the format of a game! Makes the whole process less arduous and in fact … rather fun.

Other Bonuses

There are a couple of other bonuses which I will lump together as I believe they are not as good as the other ones listed. There is also a digital desktop metronome to help you keep in rhythm, and an other game called Jayde Musica Pro which helps you to understand music theory and how to read sheet music. The Jayde one is actually very good but I wanted to focus more on the singing than the reading of music … it does demonstrate how complete this Singorama package is though. The metronome is cute but not essential.

Conclusion – Does this Help you Become a Better Singer?

In my opinion, Singorama is an excellent package. It is comprehensive, caters to different learning styles, gives a broader range of learning than any of its competitors and most importantly of all it help you to become a better singer. It also allows singers to learn at their own pace in their own time and in their own space which is very helpful for many people.

The downsides covered in this Singorama review are minimal. Firstly, some people simply will not need nor want a guide this big. If you are looking for a smaller cheaper alternative Singing Is Easy is also not too bad and very good for young children.

The other downside for some people is the price. I wont lie, this is not a cheap package at first glance as it is $99.95. However I would like to point out a few things.
